Litter Pickups

The foundation—and the first critical step—in creating a Clean Green Beautiful (CGB) community is the Spring Community-Wide Cleanup. It’s difficult to build community connections, create inviting gathering spaces, and showcase beautiful public places when they’re covered in litter, graffiti, or weeds. Our 2026 Fall Community-Wide Cleanup is happening September 18–20!

Since 2019, local businesses and organizations have stepped up to sponsor CGB cleanup bags. Today, CGB has more than 100 volunteer teams regularly picking up litter throughout our community. Many businesses, schools, and institutions also organize their own cleanups in collaboration with CGB, bringing employees, students, patrons, and community members together to beautify their spaces.

CGB bags are ordered by participants and delivered right to their door by volunteers. Teams then take to our streets, trails, parks, and public spaces to make a difference. While the Spring Cleanup is our annual kick-off, litter pickups continue throughout the spring, summer, and fall.

CGB biodegradable cleanup bags are collected free of charge by Miller Waste on your regular garbage collection day.
